Summer 2026 - Tour Diary - Chapter 1

The farthest point on the journey was a given: Matt wanted to visit Nassau, the small German town where he grew up, and bring an old Marshall amplifier back in his car. We looked at different ferry routes for the journey, and found that the most cost effective route was to travel from Dublin to Holyhead, and then to take the Channel tunnel from England to France. We chose a two-week window at the end of Summer, and set about looking for gigs.

Finding venues to play in was done with a simple but ultimately successful approach. We updated our online presence, including our website, EPK, bios, pictures and videos. Then we used Google Maps we plotted the route from Dublin to Nassau, going city by city along the route, we searched for “Live Music Venues” in each large urban area on the way. We contacted every promising looking venue that Google suggested and discussed details with those who responded to our enquiries. And so we wound up with enough shows to make the tour possible, which is when we booked the ferries and made it official.

In August 2026, Lorcan and Matt of the group TerraSonic2 embarked on an international tour, performing The Acoustic Floyd Experience (their two-man tribute to Pink Floyd) across England, Germany, and Belgium. Here follows a rundown of events leading up to and during the TerraSonic2our.

How does an unsigned, independent band go about booking an international tour? We needed to answer the following questions:

  • Where do we want to travel to?

  • How are we getting there?

  • When do we want to go, and when will we return?

  • Where are we going to play?

  • Where will we stay in between shows?

  • How will we cover all cost and make some money on top?
